Mulhouse National & International, France

We kicked off our show year at Mulhouse in France in early April 2024 at the National and International dog show.
The show itself was a bit chaotic where everyone was crammed in. Despite having two dogs entered I only had space for one dog box. I do hope they look into this for next year as it wasn't great at all.
We had not started any training for the year and this was William's first big show weekend starting in the Puppy class.
The measuring stick appeared to both of my dogs, not to be unexpected in France where the smaller type are usually preferred. William did not like the measuring stick at all and I do wish judges would take some time with puppies who have probably never seen it before. As I guessed it William was considered too big on Saturday. On Sunday William stood really well but then ran like he didn't have a care in the world...but who cares? He enjoyed every minute of it!
So it's back to training we go in preparation for the rest of the shows this year.
