George

George is my third Irish Setter from the Spirit of Indian Summer Kennel in Interlaken, Switzerland.  From the start I wanted to show him and we have achieved so much since embarking on our show journey together, with the icing on the cake being his International Champion Title and appearing at Crufts in 2019, 2021 and 2022. 

At home George is a typical Irish Setter and he loves our morning walks through the fields where he can run off lead but he also loves a snuggle up on the couch with a blanket, he likes his home comforts too.

George loves it when he gets to accompany us to places, I think it's because he has spent many years coming to shows with me where he was the only dog for the day and it makes him feel special.

He's loving and affectionate with temperament to match. He has an ability to speak with his eyes.  I know exactly what he wants by the way he looks at me.

George has the fullest coat of all our pack and I spend a lot of time taking care of it.  More time and money, in fact, than I spend on my own hair!

George is our first fully licenced stud dog, licenced by the Setter and Pointer Club, Switzerland.  On 21 April 2021 George became a father, together with Dam Roxy (Roxan von den Altheimer Herrenwiesen), to thirteen lovely babies.   We are happy that we have been able to watch some of them grow up, especially Whitney who we meet regularly on the show circuit.  She is quite the champion, following in Papa's footsteps.  We consider her part of the family and call her our little princess.  She lives with her owners, and our friends, in Germany.
